Out and About In Cabo Roig

La Zenia Boulevard

Cabo Roig Beach

Cabo Roig Marina

Cabo Roig Beach - This excellent picture of the Cabo Roig blue flag beach was taken in August 2006. The beach bar has now re-opened after a lengthy closure, so snacks and drinks are once again readily available. The photo was taken from the marina end of the beach looking towards Aguamarina, Cabo Roig and Campoamor (the tower blocks in the distance).

Cabo Roig beach is very well looked after and maintained and is extremely safe for young families, and although it does get busy during the summer, it is normally possible to find a spot to sunbathe (as can be seen from the picture which was taken during the busiest time)

Just out of the picture, the marina has recently undergone a 2 million euro facelift and is generally recognised as one of the most exclusive mooring spots along this part of the coast. In the lower part of the picture you can see the beginning of the cliff walk which goes all the way to La Zenia and taking the walk is one of the 'must do' things to enjoy whilst in Cabo Roig - a great way to spend an hour or two.

The popular strip at Cabo Roig is around a 10 minute walk from the beach and has a great selection of bars and restaurants with super nightlife and plenty of live entertainment especially during the busy summer season. Popular bars such as the Bushwacka and Smiling Jacks have singers and live bands.

The featured picture is of Cala Caleta, which is one of the 2 main beaches (the other being Cala Capitan).

The Marina at Cabo Roig Costa Blanca

Cabo Roig Marina - Fine picture looking over the recently refurbished Cabo Roig marina, taken from the restaurant which overlooks the marina. The 16th Century tower that is the best known landmark of Cabo Roig is now part of the restaurant complex and is just behind where this picture was taken from.

The marina is reached by turning off the N332 at the pyramid roundabout at Cabo Roig.

Cabo Roig marina is the home of the Club Nàutico Cabo Roig Yacht Club and it has recently undergone a 2 million euros facelift making it one of the most sought after mooring spots on the Costa Blanca. There are mooring facilities for just over 200 craft. The telephone number for the marina is 0034 966 760 176

The popular coastal path from Cabo Roig to La Zenia runs past the marina and is a wonderful way to spend an evening. The coastal path is also undergoing some improvements and will eventually run from Campoamor to Punta Prima.

There is plenty of live entertainment available especially during the busy summer months, plus many of the bars run Karaoke nights, quiz nights, bingo etc. Some new nightclubs have also appeared along the strip offering more choice for 'night owl' visitors.

The Cabo Roig strip is very busy during July and August but generally quieter for the remainder of the year. For more Cabo Roig nightlife check back regularly as we will be featuring individual bars and restaurants and details of what's on in Cabo Roig and fun things to do in Cabo Roig.
